This gratifying romantic comedy was refreshing and well acted. Last time I saw Evan Rachel Wood was in the manipulative, shallow and self absorbed role of Mildred Pierce’s daughter which made of this role, as a young woman who has never been exposed to the world outside her own house, an excellent opportunity for me to appreciate her acting skills in an innocent but naturally savvy role.
Her counterpart is Scott Speedman, the sweetest guy on earth, remember Ben in Felicity?, performing this time as the rebel, always-in-some-kind-of-trouble, son a rich family whose soul finds redemption when he embraces the fact that someone trusts him with all her might.
