Can someone explain to me why this somber movie was categorized as a comedy? Because he had to walk in his undies in NYC? If this was comedy, then The Humbling, was hilarious in comparison! But this is not all.

Quoting the blurb from IMDB: “A washed up actor, who once played an iconic superhero, battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career and himself in the days leading up to the opening of a Broadway play.” Did I miss something? He never attempted to recover his family because he simply was immersed in himself!

Another inadequacy was his delusional capacity for levitating and move things around. Flying I can understand. After all, he had been hijacked by his character, Birdman.

This is a movie about the sickening power that ego has over our true personality.
