Based on a #1 New York Times best-selling book, this movie failed to move me. Don’t get me wrong, its a fine movie that strives a bit too hard to convince viewers of its message. The child who plays the main character reminds me so much of a friend’s nephew, that it was uncanny by moments. And yes, there was also the afterthought of what would I do if my own daughter comes to me telling me something that it is extremely hard to believe. Would I support her? Would I ask her to keep it to herself? It did not take me more than a minute to smile and conclude that I too have been the subject of almost unbelievable premonitions, that I am sure would be too hard not just explaining but making others trust my word that they have actually happened.
