Kudos to HBO for taking this real life story of defeat and redemption to television. Once again, this network shows courage and presents the additional difficulties that HIV and drugs impose to the African American community in USA from the points of view of the ones suffering its consequences as well as their families.

The worth of this unpretentious movie lies in the rawness and lack of makeup given to the story presented. Is as if it was filmed from the camera of a hidden witness or with the technique used for “reality TV shows” that makes you feel right there in the middle of it all.
