You don’t have to be perfect to become great! As the movie tagline points, one only need to be bold, brilliant, brutal. As simple as that.
In addition to this documentary made from real testimonies and footage, I have read the 700+ pages of Jobs’ biography, I also watched Ashton Kutcher movie, Jobs, and, most likely, I will also watch Steve Jobs with Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet soon.
So the guy was contradictory, conflicted, weird, insecure, madly passionate, borderline on ethics, insufficiently loyal to anything else but his vision, ahead of his own game, and even tyrannically demanding. Learn it, that’s what it takes! Success, as in having it all, requires such personality. Or do you see monks rich?
It will all depend on how do you want to live your life and for what do you want to be remembered for by others.
So it is not a matter of loving or hating the genius. That’s mere jealousy. It is more a matter of understanding that you cannot have the whole cake and eat it too without getting a tummy ache. Envy!
