I loved this movie! It transported me back to the domains of my own imagination while reading the entire collection of Grimm Brothers’ tales as a child. There is such quality in the way this movie was filmed, an exquisite mixture between the absolutely fantastic and the warmth of humanity.

When you get so absorbed in the story that you momentarily disassociate the character from whom the actor actually is, you know the cast has been excellent. Well, except for Willem Dafoe, whose face is so distinctive and impossible to ignore and F. Murray Abraham who I kept associating with Tom Jones’ current looks. Kudos to the actors, the lavish production, the music, and the final credits. Absolutely recommended!
